CA Intermediate Registration 2024 – Students who have completed the CA Foundation exams are eligible to enroll in the CA Intercourse. The ICAI CA Inter registration process entails logging onto the SSP portal, selecting the student cycle, entering the necessary information, submitting the documents, and paying the costs. The ICAI CA Intermediate registration cost for both groups is Rs. 18000, while for a single group it is Rs.13000.

Students can register for the CA Intermediate course online all year. However, it is advisable to complete the form before the deadline.

CA Intermediate is the second step towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. The CA Intermediate syllabus includes eight subjects: accounting, law, taxation, financial management, and auditing.

CA Intermediate Registration Eligibility

The two paths to register for the CA Intermediate Course are;

  • CA Foundation Route – Complete the CA Foundation course to be eligible for CA Intermediate registration via the foundation method.
  • CA Direct Entry Route – Graduated or post-graduate students with the required percentage can register for the CA Intermediate test without first completing the CA Foundation exam.

The CA Intermediate eligibility criteria for the direct entry route are:

  • A commerce graduate or postgraduate student should have achieved at least 55%, whereas a non-commerce graduate or postgraduate student should have scored at least 60%.
  • Candidates must have completed the intermediate level of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Institute of Cost Accounting in India.

Students who register for the CA Intermediate through the foundation route have the option of enrolling in both or one group. However, for the direct entry method, students must register for both groups simultaneously.

  1. The registration fee for CA Intermediate is $1000 for both groups and $600 for a single group for foreign students.
  2. The students who are entering the CA Course by the direct entry route have to pay Rs 200 (US $20) as a cost of the prospectus in addition to the above fees.
  3. Direct entry students also need to register themselves for the ITT and OP training program before registering for the practical training each for 15 days.
  4. The fee for the ITT(Information Technology Training) Program is Rs 6500/- inclusive of the Study Material and tea/refreshments provided by the  ICAI.
  5. The fee for the OP (Orientation Program ) is Rs 7000/- inclusive of Study Materials and tea/refreshments provided by the ICAI.

ICAI CA Intermediate Registration Process 2024

  1. Visit the ICAI website and click on the Service Portal Link or go to ICAI portal. Enter your username and password to log in to your self-service portal.
  2. After authentication, click on “Click Here to access the Student SSP Portal.“
  3. Click on the student cycle.
  4. Now, the foundation route, students have to click on “Intermediate through Foundation”. However, in the direct entry route, students can click on Intermediate.
  5. Students who take the straight entry path must then fill out their personal information. However, the personal information of the CA Foundation student will be automatically filled in. Verify the information and then click “Save and Next”.
  6. Next, enter your Qualification information.
  7. Upload the required papers, provide the necessary information, and then click “Save and Next”.
  8. Now, post your photo/signature. The image must be up to 100KB in size. 
  9. Click on Generate OTP. You will receive the OTP on your registered number, or the ICAI will send a verification link to your email ID.
  10. Now enter the OTP & the Captcha code and click on the Submit button.
  11. Lastly, pay the CA Inter registration fees. The submitted application will be verified by ICAI and thereafter authorized accordingly.

Following successful payment, the system will generate a CA Intermediate registration form. Students are needed to save and print the form. Furthermore, sign the form and return it to the appropriate regional office within 7 days, together with the necessary documentation.

ICAI CA Intermediate Registration Validity – The CA Inter registration form is valid for four years. If an applicant fails to qualify for the exam within four years, he must revalidate his registration.

ICAI has launched the CA New Scheme of Education and Training 2024. The institute has increased the registration validity from four to five years.

What are the Documents Required for CA Inter Registration?

  • Attested copy of the 12th grade mark sheet or similar Central Government-recognized examination.
  • For direct entry scheme students – Attested copy of the Graduation / Post Graduation Marksheet or Mark Statement of Intermediate level Examination of ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) or ICWAI (Institute of Cost Accountants of India).
  • Coloured and recent Photograph.
  • If a student is from another country, they must provide proof of their nationality.
  • Proof of a special category certificate, e.g. SC/ST/OBC or differently abled.

How to Check CA Intermediate Registration Status?

Once the registration is completed, students are often concerned about whether their CA Intermediate registration is complete or not. Follow these simple ways to check your CA Inter registration status:

  • Visit the ICAI website (www.icai.org).
  • Click on E-services.
  • This will direct you to the website where you may locate the “Reprint Letter”. Click on it.
  • Enter the essential information, and it will generate a letter indicating your registration status.
  • This process takes 30 – 40 days to update. You must therefore visit the website on a regular basis.
  • However, if the aforesaid period has passed and your registration status has not been updated, you should contact your relevant regional office on any working day.

Students are advised not to wait for the Foundation marks declaration from the examination division; instead, they should download a copy from the internet and register as soon as feasible.

What After CA Intermediate Registration Nov 2024?

The exams will take place 6 months after CA Intermediate registration. Previously, it was 9 months, however the main examination division modified the CA examination format. You also need to complete the CA Inter exam form. After submitting the exam form, you will receive the CA Inter admission card.

It will be difficult for you to pass the CA Intermediate test because it has 6 subjects. So, finish the curriculum on time and practice CA Intermediate papers such as previous year papers and mock test papers. This method, you can get an excellent CA Inter result.
